Meet Russ Hawkins
Russ was born in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Broken Arrow in the first grade — Oklahoma has been home ever since. He spent 20 years in the fire service and retired from the Tulsa Fire Department (Station 23) in 2020.
He started FireHouse Roofing Co. in 2017, while still pulling shifts at the firehouse, because he kept hearing the same stories from neighbors and friends: pushy salespeople, vanishing contractors, and roofs that didn't actually need replacing. He built FireHouse to be the opposite — honest, service-driven, and no-pressure.
“If something's wrong with your roof, we'll tell you. If nothing's wrong, we'll tell you that too.”
What homeowners say
I've known Russ at Firehouse roofing for several years. He's honest, trustworthy, and professional.
Local people. Local company.
Russ and his wife Jaybee call the Broken Arrow area home. Their children are grown and have moved out, and these days the family stays close through get-togethers and cookouts. Russ and Jaybee have two rescue dogs, Rowdy and JoJo, both adopted from the SPCA. When they're not hosting family or out on the pickleball court, you'll usually find them at the lake, traveling, or cheering on the Sooners and the Chiefs.
Russ lives in the Forest Ridge neighborhood of Broken Arrow, and the company's office is at 803 N Elm Pl. That same family-first, local mindset is what shows up at every homeowner's door.
FireHouse Roofing Co. is proud to be deeply involved in the community. Giving back matters to us — whether that's through our time or through donations, we believe a local company should invest in the place it calls home. Supporting our community is part of who we are, not an afterthought.
