What homeowners get

Free storm inspection

Full photo report — shingles, vents, flashings, gutters, and soft metals. You keep the report whether you hire us or not.

Temporary tarping when needed

If a storm has opened the roof and rain is in the forecast, ask about a temporary tarp to protect the inside of your home until repairs can be completed.

Adjuster meetings

We climb the roof with your insurance adjuster and walk through test squares together so nothing in the scope gets missed.

Clear damage documentation

Aerial measurements, slope-by-slope photos, and a written summary you can share with your carrier.

Re-inspection support

If a claim is denied or under-scoped, we can re-inspect and request a supplement. We don't promise a different outcome — but documentation matters.

Quality installation when needed

If a replacement is the right call, we install premium shingles to manufacturer spec, with Class 4 impact options available.

First 48 Hours After a Storm

What to do before filing an insurance claim

After hail or high winds, the instinct is to call your insurance company immediately. In many cases, it helps to get an honest roof inspection first so you know whether there is damage worth discussing with your carrier.

01

Check for visible damage from the ground

Look for dented gutters, downspouts, or vents; granules in gutters or at downspout bases; shingle pieces in the yard; and any new leaks or water stains inside. Take photos if you see something obvious.

02

Call FireHouse Roofing Co. for an honest inspection before filing a claim

Not every storm requires a claim. Before opening a claim, we can inspect the roof, document what we see, and help you understand whether there appears to be enough damage to justify discussing a claim with your insurance carrier. If nothing is wrong, we'll tell you that too.

03

Protect the inside if water is getting in

Move furniture and valuables away from the leak path. Use buckets or tarps inside. If the roof is open and rain is in the forecast, ask us about a temporary tarp to keep water out until repairs are scheduled.

04

Document everything

Save photos of interior water stains, fallen tree limbs, and any visible exterior damage. Note the date and time of the storm. This documentation helps whether you end up filing a claim or not.

05

Understand your options before calling your carrier

We do not decide coverage, negotiate claims, or act as a public adjuster. What we do is give you a clear, photo-documented picture of your roof's condition so you can make an informed decision about whether a conversation with your insurance carrier makes sense.

Storm Damage & Your Insurance

Honest guidance before you call your carrier

Not every storm means you need to file an insurance claim. Before filing a claim, call FireHouse Roofing Co. for an honest storm damage roof inspection. We can inspect the roof, document what we see, and help you understand whether there appears to be enough roof damage to justify discussing a claim with your insurance carrier.

If we find damage that appears to meet your carrier's threshold, we'll show you exactly what we found, explain what it means, and give you a clear photo report you can share. If nothing is wrong, we'll tell you that too — and there's no fee either way.

We do not determine coverage, guarantee approval, negotiate claims, or act as a public adjuster. What we do is inspect thoroughly, document honestly, and help you understand your roof's condition so you can decide whether a conversation with your insurance carrier makes sense.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
A lot of hail damage isn't visible from the ground. Common signs include dented gutters, downspouts, or vents; granules collecting in your gutters or at the base of downspouts; soft bruises or dark spots on shingles; and new leaks or stains after a storm. The only way to know for sure is to have someone get on the roof — that's what our free inspection is for.
What size hail damages a roof?
Hail roughly 1 inch or larger can bruise asphalt shingles, and wind gusts above about 50 mph can lift or crease them. Even if the hail seemed small or the wind didn't feel severe, it's worth getting eyes on the roof — damage and storm size don't always match.
What are the signs of wind damage on a roof?
Look for missing or lifted shingles, shingles with creased edges, exposed nail heads, debris in the yard from the roof, or pieces of shingle on the ground after a storm. Wind damage often shows up along ridges and edges where uplift is strongest.
Should I call my insurance company before getting my roof inspected?
Not every storm means you need to file an insurance claim. Before opening a claim, call FireHouse Roofing Co. for an honest roof inspection. We'll document what we see, explain whether there appears to be storm damage, and help you understand whether the damage may be worth discussing with your insurance carrier. If nothing is wrong, we'll tell you that too. Filing a claim that doesn't result in a payout can still show on your record — so it helps to know whether there is damage worth discussing with your carrier before making that call.
How long after a storm can I file an insurance claim?
Most carriers allow up to 12 months from the date of loss to file a hail or wind claim, but policies vary — check yours. The sooner damage is documented, the easier the claim usually is. We can help identify the likely storm date during inspection and, if a claim may be warranted, document what we find so you have a clear record to discuss with your carrier.
Will you meet my insurance adjuster?
Yes. We climb the roof with the adjuster, walk through test squares together, and make sure nothing in the scope gets missed. There's no cost for this.
What if my claim is denied or under-scoped?
We can re-inspect, document anything we believe was missed, and request a re-inspection or supplement. We can't promise a different outcome, but proper documentation often makes a real difference. Our Insurance Claim Assistance page explains the full process.
Is the storm inspection really free?
Yes. No fee, no obligation. You get a full photo report whether you hire us or not.
Do you serve Broken Arrow, Tulsa, and surrounding areas?
Yes — Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Bixby, Jenks, Owasso, Coweta, Sand Springs, Claremore, Sapulpa, and the surrounding Green Country communities.

In their own words

Verified Google Review
We had a some shingles fly off from the crazy winds the past few weeks exposing our attic. Called around and literally firehouse was the first to call and come out. All others took days to reply. They were very informative and quick to repair. Would highly recommend.
