WHAT DOES YOUR ROOF
WARRANTY ACTUALLY COVER?

"Lifetime warranty" gets thrown around a lot in roofing, and it doesn't always mean what homeowners think. Understanding roof warranties before you sign anything protects you. Here's a plain-English breakdown of how roof warranties actually work — and exactly what FireHouse Roofing Co. covers.

Warranty Basics

THE TWO KINDS OF ROOF WARRANTY

There are really two separate warranties on most roofs, and they cover different things:

  • The MANUFACTURER warranty — covers defects in the shingles or materials themselves. This comes from the shingle manufacturer (like Atlas), and the terms depend on the product you choose.
  • The WORKMANSHIP warranty — covers the quality of the installation, the labor and craftsmanship. This comes from your roofing contractor, and it's only as good as the company standing behind it.

Both matter. A great shingle installed poorly will still fail — which is why the workmanship warranty, and the company behind it, is so important.

The Fine Print

WHY "LIFETIME" DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN FOREVER — FOR EVERYTHING

A lot of companies advertise a "lifetime warranty," but it usually applies to specific work (like a full roof replacement), not necessarily to every type of job. Always ask what's actually covered, for how long, and on which services. An honest roofer will tell you plainly.

Our Promise

FIREHOUSE ROOFING CO. WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY — BY SERVICE

We believe in being clear about exactly what we cover. Our workmanship warranty depends on the type of work:

  • Roof REPLACEMENT (full replacement, including full storm-damage replacement): LIFETIME workmanship warranty.
  • GUTTERS: 5-year workmanship warranty.
  • Roof REPAIR: 2-year workmanship warranty.
  • SIDING: 2-year workmanship warranty.
  • SOFFIT & FASCIA: 2-year workmanship warranty.

We'd rather tell you the real terms up front than advertise "lifetime everything" and surprise you later. That's part of being the Good Guys of Roofing.

WHAT A WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY COVERS (AND DOESN'T)

A workmanship warranty covers problems caused by how the work was done — for example, an installation issue that leads to a leak. It generally does not cover damage from a brand-new storm, normal wear over time, or issues caused by something unrelated to our work. (A new storm, for instance, would typically be a new insurance matter, not a workmanship claim.) If you're ever unsure, just ask us — we'll give you a straight answer.

Choose Wisely

WHY THE COMPANY BEHIND THE WARRANTY MATTERS

A warranty is a promise, and a promise is only good if the company is still around to keep it. This is one more reason to choose a local, established roofer over a storm chaser who may be gone next year. FireHouse is based in Broken Arrow, firefighter-owned, and here for the long haul — when we put our name on your roof, we stand behind it.
