The starting point
The homeowner reached out before any storm — they were planning ahead. The original 2007 builder-grade roof had reached its useful end, the attic was running 145°F on summer afternoons, and they wanted to lock the project in before the next hail season tightened the metro's installer schedules.
Our inspection found exactly what the heat hinted at: under-balanced ventilation. The roof had ridge venting that was technically the right linear footage, but the soffit intake had been blocked when the original builder installed insulation. Hot air had nowhere to go — and the shingle granules paid for it.
Why Atlas Pinnacle Pristine
We walked through three systems — Atlas Architectural, Atlas Pinnacle Pristine, and a competitor's premium line. The homeowner chose Pinnacle Pristine in Pewter for three reasons: the dimensional shadow profile against the brick, the StreakGuard algae resistance for the north-facing slope, and the extended manufacturer warranty available because we install as an Atlas Diamond Contractor.
Pinnacle Pristine carries Atlas's heaviest standard architectural mat — visually substantial on a 12/12 pitch like this one, and engineered for the wind events Owasso sees every spring.
Install day and ventilation rebuild
Six-person crew on site at 7:00 AM. Full tear-off complete by 11:00 AM. Decking inspection found two soft sheets in the south valley — replaced before underlayment.
The ventilation rebuild is where this job mattered. We cleared the blocked soffit intake along every facia run, installed continuous baffles to keep insulation from re-blocking it, and balanced the ridge exhaust to the new intake. The attic now runs the way it should — within 15–20°F of outdoor ambient, not 50°F over.
Pinnacle Pristine in Pewter installed by 4:00 PM. Magnet sweep, final walkthrough, and lifetime workmanship warranty paperwork by 5:30 PM.

Frequently asked
Does Atlas Pinnacle Pristine cost more than Architectural?
Yes — typically 10–15% more for the materials. On most Owasso homes the lifetime cost is comparable when you factor in the extended manufacturer warranty available through Atlas Diamond Contractors.
Is the ventilation rebuild always needed?
Not always — but we find blocked or under-balanced intake on a meaningful share of Owasso homes built between 2000 and 2010. The fix during tear-off is inexpensive. Doing it later is not.
How long does this kind of install take?
One day for the install. About two weeks from first call to install for a planned (non-insurance) project.
